The textile, in Elena's hands, responds differently each time.
Indeed, it is her hands that are the creative medium, through which she gives form to her paintings: the creative act becomes one of self-acceptance and self-healing.
By shaping the matter Elena shapes herself: contrasts, ambivalences, pains and joys are represented through different colors and shapes.
Art allows her to be, to go beyond appearances, to bare herself in front of her audience who can get to know her true essence, transcending appearances.
